WAR IS OVER - If You Want It
Browsing Twitter this morning, I came across John & Yoko's "WAR IS OVER - If You Want It" video, which is forty years old today. Then I was called in to work, so I'm going to let John & Yoko speak for me tonight.
I suffered a temporal disconnect while I watched the video. For a moment, I thought of John and Yoko as kids - as the next generation - I suppose because when the film was made, they were
Tomorrow morning, we will be sailing to Vancouver for a belated Christmas with the grandbabies. (My camera is already packed.) I'll try to check in tomorrow night, celebrations permitting.

I can't believe this was 40 years ago. Oh, how quickly time passes. Another day older and deeper in debt! (and steeped in war, unfortunately)
Hi, John and Karen - Yes, we are in Vancouver - and this time, I'm connected - not that I'll be online much, what with chasing grandbabies, eating too much, maybe going to the movies tonight. Having fun, though. And yes, time does fly - especially when I'm having fun, but as I get older, I realize that it flies anyway (so I might as well have fun!)

I know what you mean about the power of film.i was under the misapprehension that a singer called Chris Rea had been dead these last few years when he wasn't dead at all, yet people who were definitely dead were large as life on my TV screen.And if TV is the only place you see these people then alive or dead to some extent is immaterial.How strange!
